Dr. Schwope is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Bexar County Medical Society, and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her undergraduate degree in history at Yale University. She was named 'Administrative Chief Resident' during her residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Schwope is a pioneer of Family-Centered Cesarean Section in San Antonio. She has a special interest in supporting women who desire natural labor and/or VBAC. Dr. Schwope is also interested in high-risk obstetrics and working closely with perinatal consultants. When she is not seeing patients she enjoys traveling, visiting the Pearl Brewery, Texas state parks and watering holes with her family.
